PP sheet, also known as copolymer PP material, has a low heat distortion temperature (100 ℃), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but has a strong impact strength. The strength of polypropylene increases with the increase of ethylene content.PP has a Vicat softening temperature of 150°C. The material has a high degree of crystallinity. Due to high crystallinity, the material has good external stiffness and scratch resistance.Environmental stress cracking is not present in PP. PP is usually modified by glass fiber, metal additives or thermoplastic rubber.
The activity range of PP is 1 ~ 40. PP materials with lower MFR have better impact resistance but lower tensile strength. For materials with the same MFR, the copolymerized type has higher strength than the homopolymerized type. Due to crystallization, PP has a high shrinkage rate, generally 1.8 to 2.5%. And the directional average shrinkage is much better than materials such as PE-HD. Shrinkage can be reduced to 0.7% with the addition of 30% glass additives. Both homopolymer PP and copolymer PP materials have excellent water resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance and solubility resistance. However, it has no resistance to aromatic hydrocarbon (e.g. benzene) solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbon (carbon tetrachloride) solvents, etc. Polypropylene is also not as resistant to oxidation as PE remains at high temperatures.
Classification of PP sheet.
1. Pure PP sheet
Low density, easy to weld and process, excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance and impact resistance, non-toxic, odorless, is one of the best engineering plastics to meet environmental requirements. The main color is white, black, other colors can also be customized according to customer requirements.
2. Polypropylene (PP) Extruded Sheet
It is a plastic sheet made of PP resin by adding various functional additives, extruding, pressurizing, cooling, cutting and other processes.
3.Fiberglass PP composite sheet
Adopting 20% glass fiber reinforcement, on the basis of maintaining the original excellent performance, the strength and stiffness is twice as much as that of PP, good heat resistance, low-temperature shock resistance, corrosion resistance, arc resistance, and low shrinkage rate. It is especially suitable for chemical fiber, chlor-alkali, petroleum, dyestuff, pesticide, food, medicine, light industry, metallurgy, sewage treatment and other industries.
